BBA: 2013 economic development created 2,700 jobs, $350 million in capital investments for Birmingham metro

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – New and expanding industry invested more than $350 million and added more than 2,700 jobs to the Birmingham metro area in 2013.

Brian Hilson, chief executive of the Birmingham Business Alliance, shared the results of the BBA’s and others’ economic development efforts last year during the BBA’s annual chairman’s luncheon at the Sheraton Birmingham Tuesday.
