Group begins process of creating Fayette ‘vision’

Do you envision what Fayette County might look like in the future? If so, you are not alone. In fact, there is a move afoot to develop and implement that vision with the help of a wide-ranging variety of Fayette residents and a consulting firm specializing in community visioning.

Fayette County Visioning process is underway

The diverse members of the Steering Committee for the Fayette County visioning process were busy last week preparing information requests from our partner, Market Street Services.

As Market Street begins the next steps in their analysis, they will begin to conduct extensive research on a range of geographical, community and economic factors. The group will present their findings at a Community Leadership meeting on Dec. 9, 2013.

Here’s what we’ve done so far with visioning for Fayette

As soon as 150 Fayette citizens and the steering committee decided on Oct 18 that Fayette should develop a vision statement and implementing plan, Fayette immediately took steps to do so.

Fayette County is on the move — welcome aboard!

Many of us moved to Fayette County for its highly regarded public schools, low crime rates, and the wide-open spaces, or maybe the charm of small towns like Tyrone, Brooks, and Woolsey.

We also recognize the need for a vibrant economy to provide career opportunities right here for our children, along with the attendant challenges of growth.
