Grow Grand Island and Grander Vision Join Forces

Grand Island, Neb. The Grow Grand Island and Grander Vision community groups recently held their first joint meeting, officially consolidating the two visioning groups into one implementation committee.

Don Smith, chairman of Grow Grand Island, opened the meeting by praising the high level of cooperation demonstrated by the planning partners who worked over the past two months to address Mayor Jeremy Jensen’s wishes to see the two initiatives merged.

Updated Partnership 2020 strategy to address traffic congestion, educational attainment

Officials with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership 2020 economic development initiative today announced a five-year strategy that will include identifying metrics related to traffic congestion and educational attainment.

The plan will be launched in July 2016.

Spring Valley EDA guest speaker reveals plan for region

Gary Smith, president of the Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. (RAEDI), spoke to the Spring Valley Economic Development Authority (EDA) during its Feb. 11 meeting.

Smith addressed The Journey to Growth (J2G) plan, which is a five-year plan to grow and diversify the Rochester area economy.
