Macon-Bibb assessment points out strengths and weaknesses of community

The first phase of a community and economic development planning project to help build a business plan for Macon-Bibb County was released Wednesday.

The competitive assessment portion of the project was led by Atlanta-based Market Street Services, a national community and economic development consulting firm.

CVEP: “More leads than we can handle”

After a slow start, the organization really took off in 2009 when it created a comprehensive economic blueprint for the region. Business boom continues for Decatur

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Some changes are on the way for the city of Decatur. The planning commission met Tuesday and voted to possibly bring in two new restaurants to the area. A move that city officials hope will keep the area growing and bring more people to Decatur.

With new CEO, change is coming at GLI

In case you hadn’t been paying close attention, Greater Louisville Inc., the metro chamber of commerce, has a new president and CEO.

Craig Richard , a 49-year-old Houston native, took the reins there in January, replacing Joe Reagan , who now leads the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association.
